Nino Schurter crowned 2021 XCO World Championships framing his legacy in the world titles of Cross Country Racing
After a bitter and challenging season, including several 2nd place finishes and missing a podium place in the Tokyo Olympics. Nino Schurter won the 2021 XCO World Championships in Val di Sole, Italy. This victory not only marks him as the oldest athlete to earn the rainbow stripes, Schurter was also the youngest athlete to take the World Championship title twelve years prior at his first World Championship in 2009.
